Concept of natural resources

Nature has been so kind to man.Even since its appearance on the earth man has been dependent on nature for his subsistence.He need edible plants and animals for survival.Everything that come from nature has been utilized for man but it utilization is possible on the availability of appropriate technology.Although the natural resources existed over the earth's surface even during pre-historic time,man did not have tools and technology to use them.land,sunshine,mine,forest,wildlife etc.Hence,these natural  product turned into the resources only they could be seen.

Introduction to natural resources:Natural resources are the natural gifts ,which are found by the natural process.Soil,water.minerals,sun,air,fossil,forest,wildlife,land etc are the natural  resources,and they are not the man made aspects.All living organism depend upon natural resources for there survival,reproduction,growth and development .There are different kind of living and non-living things.Land,minerals,rokes,mountains,,oceans,rivers etc are non-living things.Vegitations,human beings,animals,birds insect and micro-ogganism are living things.Activities like weathering,destruction ,creation ,revivles are the continouse process in nature.The state of objects is continuosly change .Some objects may be destroyed whereas some are created. Natural resources change with time and therefore,there utility gets change

Air pollution:Air pollution is an disequilibrium condition of amiability air quality by the introduction of foreign element from either anthropogenic or natural sources.In other words,it an atmospheric condition in which certain substance are present in such concentrations that can produce undesirable effect on man and his environment.This substance include gases like sulfur oxides, hydrocarbon,smoke,dust,aerosols,radioactive materials, etc

Water pollution:Direct disposal of solid and liquid waste,use of chemical fertilizer,disposal of dead bodes in the source of water like pound,lake,rivers pollute the water.Water pollution denotes any type of contamination either biological or chemical in the pure state of water.It is an physical or chemical change in surface or ground water that can adversely affect living organisms.Polluted water however,is turbid,unpleasant,bad smell,unfit for drinking,bath,and washing or other purposes.It is harmful and vehicle of many diseases as cholera,dysentery,typhoid,etc

Land pollution:Any substance that are not common component of soil but their present adversely affect the property of soil is termed as soil or land pollution.There are various material that affect on physical,chemical,biological properties of soil.Hence it affect the productivity of soil.Common pollutant of soil are non-degradable solid wastage of the industries,domestic used material such as plastic bag,glasses,metallic items,etc.Many of the chemical effluents emitted into air such as lead,sulfur,etc.deposit in the earth and ultimately that pollute the soil.Thus,land pollution has also been a serious problems at present.

Noise pollution:Noise is commonly define as unwanted and unpleasant sound that cause discomfort.It is also known as "wrong sound,in wrong place at the wrong time".Because of the development of machinery,industry and technology noise has been a inseparable part of our life.Sound intensity is measure in units is called decibel.Sound beyond 80 db is considered as sound pollution.It affect the health of human being adversely

1)Introduction to Environmental Health
   The health of an individual is influenced by the environment where she/he living.Environment is an external force which influences the human being.our health, physical structure, working efficiency is determined by the environment.Environment encompasses physical, biological, socio-cultural and psychological aspects. thus, promotion of these aspects helps us live a healthier life. In this regard, environmental health refers to the promotion of health by maintaining the  environment components.Environment health encompasses the conservation, management and proper utilization of environmental components in relation to optimization of human health.WHO defines environmental health as those aspects of human health and disease that are determined by factors in the environment.

2)Introduction to Pollution
   With the rapid  growth of population and fast development of industries,the environmental status has been degrade resulting the various types of pollutions.Pollution has been the problem not only of one country but of entire world.Undesirable change in the physical,chemical or biological characteristics of air,land,water,etc that may be harmfully effect  human life is known as pollution.Pollution is man made problems.

Major activities on environment conservation

1) Conservation of Forest

    The ministry of Forest and Land Conservation has lunched various programmes to conserve the forest.Afforestation programme in various places,community forestry programme are being carried.Local people have also active participation in forest conservation.Similarly, matter related to forest conservation are integrated school and college curriculum.Various awareness programmess are also launched.

2)Soil Conservation

   Soil conservation is also the objective of environment conservation.The ministry of forest and land conservation and ministry of agriculture are working to conserve the soil.To conserve the soil,use of chemical fertilizer should be reduce,landslide and soil erosion should be checked.For the various awareness programme are lanced.Even in the curriculum of school and college this matter are integrated.

 3)Management of Wastage

    Improper disposal of solid and liquid wastage pollute the environment.Various organizations,local bodies such as Municipalities are controlling for its proper management.Construction of public latrine also help to manage the wastage.

Human beings use various resources available in environment.Inreasing demands and aspiration of human society create a rising demand for goods and services.Thus,human being imposes changes on natural processes.Environment management must regulate the demands and activities of man in such a way that the ability of environment to sustain future development remains unimpaired.Efficient environmental management is a pre-requisite for sustained economic development.

There are two component of environment,they are biotic and abiotic component.Biotic component mean living being .For example human being,animals,birds,plants etc.Human being is much superior and intelligent than other biotic component.All biotic component has it's own important role in their own place.In the world  there are many species of plant,bird,animal etc.Abiotic component has also important role to manage the environment.
